Consisting of rare and hard to find dead stock fabric, tailored into a woven button down shirt, beach short, cut and sew premium t shirt and polo cap. The Quiet Life are back with their second drop for this Summer, entitled ‘Funner Summer’, this is a capsule designed and created with Los Angeles based artist Justin Krietemeyer and will be launched at Kingswell in Los Angeles this thursday with a party and art installation. Blk Pine Workshop recently exhibited their new Spring Summer 13 collection at Jacket Required in the UK and Capsule in New York. The GQ editor recently scoured the menswear tradeshows to choose his twenty picks for the forthcoming season. And across two features he has picked out new styles from the new Blk Pine Workshop collection.

COMUNE // NEW YORK (CAPSULE)

Last week a few of us at COMUNE took a trip out east to NYC. Our first few days were spent at the Capsule trade show and the unveiling of our A/W 2012 collection.

The reaction to the new line was everything we could have hoped for, including exclusives with Esquire and GQ. After the show ended we stayed on to explore and to be inspired by the city. Some of the best parts of NYC are in the understated buildings and parks that people walk by everyday.
Along the way we managed to get stuck in a shoe box of an elevator, walk Central Park, eat, visit MOMA, shop Soho and LES, eat, get into some trouble, spend time with good friends, and eat. Again.

This trip served many purposes; business, inspiration, and building new relationships. However the main purpose was to unite the team, to build its bonds, to push through this turbulent past year and to further inspire the way we see the world. Special thanks to Leland and the whole team at (A)zione for showing us a good time, to Alexis Gross for always being along for the ride, and to the Derelicte showroom for being the forefront of our brand.

COMUИE LAUNCHES THEUNKNOWN PROJECT IN NEW YORK

COMUNE hits New York to launch their latest project, theUNKNOWN, a Domestically Made Denim product release and book project that pays tribute in admiration of character and testimony bringing to life the true story and experiences of those whom have defied odds and influenced many.
The Domestically Made, raw indigo Denim is designed by COMUNE and Jose Gonzalez packaged along with the Volume one Jose Gonzalez hard-copy book written by Jose’s close friend, well-known motorcycle journalist, Nelson Kanno. Volume one of theUNKNOWN pays respect to Jose Gonzalez, motorcycle enthusiast, Orange County/Long Beach local and a long time friend to COMUNE founder, Frank Delgadillo.
theUNKNOWN release will be available at select retailers worldwide for a limited offering scheduled to hit retail early February.
